Eero Alev (1983) graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with a BA in Painting (2020) and an MA in Contemporary Art (2022). He has been working as a drawing and painting lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Arts since 2020 and as a technician in painting department since 2023. Eero Alev’s works display various dreamlike narratives, characterized by a melancholic and nostalgic atmosphere. Although Alev often starts his paintings with photographs, he reinterprets real-world objects, spaces, people, and situations into new combinations, creating imaginative worlds. Recent exhibitions by Eero Alev include “Board Game and a Flight with a Paper Bird” at Haapsalu City Gallery (2024) and “Then at Once I See You” at Artrovert Gallery (2023).
